Movie Review: Firewall
Sunday, February 19, 2006, 01:55 PM - Review
A wet - very wet - commercial advertising for cars, TVs, cell phones and Seatle(?) with a sub-plot about identity theft and virtual bank robbers.

Yes, there is a plot, but that's not what the movie is about - I think.

Contrary to the trailers, there's only a few tech scenes for computers geek to flame about. You keep waiting for geek things to happen, but other than a few uses of tech, it's not worth it. Yes, there are tech blunders: cell phone and wifi access is available in the middle of nowhere; two independent computer systems can be merged in one week without problems; and a radio control car transmitter can interfer with wireless cameras and cable connected TVs.

Overall: 2 of 5.

Hoodwinked: trailer was funnier, but fans of animated fairy tales will like this movie.

Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Darker, more violent, and better than the previous movies. It also deals more with the characters' evolution and less with the witchcraft storyline.

Movie Review: Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit

Just watched Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Great and funny! If you have seen the 3 previous Wallace & Gromit episodes, or Creature Comforts, or the Chicken Run movie, then you'll enjoy the Wallace & Gromit movie. The kids will love it too.

Movie Review: Serenity

I saw the Serenity movie today. WOW! Imagine an extended, or two-parter, Firefly episode and you have the movie. I was expecting the movie to recap some of the history for those who never saw the series, but the only story they really spent time on was River's. Otherwise, like the series, it has great acting, writing and action!

Think of it as episode 15 of the cancelled series.
