Movie Review: The Protector
Monday, September 18, 2006, 06:11 PM - Review
The Protector has: great action and fighting sequences, cameo by Jackie Chan, elephants, and ... did I mention great action and fighting sequences?

That's all it has that's good.

Overall: 1.5 of 5, or 2.5 of 5 if you like martial arts movies.

Movie Review: Bon Cop, Bad Cop
Saturday, September 16, 2006, 06:22 PM - Review
As the Canadian version of Lethal Weapon, Starsky and Hutch, and/or Tango & Cash, Bon Cop, Bad Cop, as the title implies, is cliche driven. You know what's going to happen even before the movie starts! The only good things going for it are the actors and script, and all the Canadian culture and hockey references. (Yes, for you non-Canadians, Ontarians and Quebecois don't like each other :)

Overall: 2.5 of 5

Game Review: Lara Croft, Tomb Raider: Legend
Monday, September 4, 2006, 09:44 AM - Review
Oh wow! A Lara Croft game that doesn't suck! Tomb Raider: Legend (PSP and PS2 reviewed) is a major improvememt over Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, a game that set the bar for over hyped, but eventually disappointing games.

Going back to the original game, Legend has Lara Croft travelling all over the world, climbing mountains and buildings, and spelunking through ice and rock caverns. The graphics and sounds are pretty good, but the controls sometimes make jumping and shooting harder than it should be.

If you have a PS2 and PSP, get the PS2 version, as the PSP version has graphics and controls problems.

Overall: 4 of 5

Movie Review: Snakes on the Plane
Saturday, September 2, 2006, 09:20 PM - Review

Lamest. Movie. Ever! Or maybe not. Snakes on the Plane is a cult film's dream: lame action, lame plot, and lame script!

Then what's all the hype about? Let's see: self-explanatory title, Samuel L. Jackson, snakes and geeks without a life! A low-budget action movie with a title that tells the whole story pirked the interest of a few film geeks, movie studio that listened to fans, and next thing you know, you got a potential hit before it comes out!

"There's mother-f%^&*#$@ snakes on the mother-f%^&*#$@ plane."

"It's not a video game, it's a flight simulator."

Overall: 1.5 of 5
