Game review: Worms: Open Warfare
Saturday, April 15, 2006, 06:28 PM - Review
YES!!!! Worms for the PSP (and DS ;)!!!

Finally, I can playing a really cool and very addictive game anywhere!!

It's everything you'd expect from a Worms game: cute little worms shooting each other with cool weapons and funny voices.

Overall: 4.5 of 5!

Movie Review: Evil Dead 2
Tuesday, April 4, 2006, 08:16 PM - Review
Yes, it's an old movie, but I wanted to see what all the hype was about.

I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep ... just kidding ;)

Evil Dead 2 is a decent B-movie. As usual Bruce Campbell is worth watching, though all the other actors (I think there were other actors) were easily forgetable. The special effects were definately b-movie budget effects, and the script ... well, let's just say I think they improvised quite a lot.

Movie Review: V for Vendetta

WOW!!! V for Vendetta is a powerfull film. The acting is a bit lame, the dialogue sometimes over the head, and very political, but the story, music and action sequences are well done. The climax scene really hits you.

4 out of 5!

Game Review: Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
Monday, March 20, 2006, 09:23 AM - Review
Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for the PSP is possibly the best shooter for the PSP available today. The graphics are amazing (especially the IR and other goggles), the sounds are realistic and once you get used to the controls, the gameplay is fun. The only problem I'm having with it is some of the missions are difficult to figure out, but overall they are linear in nature.

Game Review: Black

Black for the PS2 is the best FPS that I've played in a while. Great graphics and you can shoot anything and everything. In my opinion, it beats Medal of Honour, Socom and Ghost Recon as it's more arcade than simulation.

Movie Review: UltraViolet
Saturday, March 4, 2006, 05:30 PM - Review
Ultraviolet is ultraviolent; what Matrix 3 should have been in fighting; no plot; very cool action scenes, other than one WTF sword fight scene; no acting; and blatantly obvious CGI.

Overall: 2.5 of 5.

Movie Review: Firewall
Sunday, February 19, 2006, 01:55 PM - Review
A wet - very wet - commercial advertising for cars, TVs, cell phones and Seatle(?) with a sub-plot about identity theft and virtual bank robbers.

Yes, there is a plot, but that's not what the movie is about - I think.

Contrary to the trailers, there's only a few tech scenes for computers geek to flame about. You keep waiting for geek things to happen, but other than a few uses of tech, it's not worth it. Yes, there are tech blunders: cell phone and wifi access is available in the middle of nowhere; two independent computer systems can be merged in one week without problems; and a radio control car transmitter can interfer with wireless cameras and cable connected TVs.

Overall: 2 of 5.

Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Darker, more violent, and better than the previous movies. It also deals more with the characters' evolution and less with the witchcraft storyline.

Movie Review: Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Saturday, October 8, 2005, 06:48 PM - Review
Just watched Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Great and funny! If you have seen the 3 previous Wallace & Gromit episodes, or Creature Comforts, or the Chicken Run movie, then you'll enjoy the Wallace & Gromit movie. The kids will love it too.
